Did my research at the Linen Hall Library this morning. (I know you’re supposed to do a Pub Crawl in Ireland, I tend to do a Library Hop.) Afterwards I took a Bus tour, unfortunately my camera batteries died mid-tour.
I did get this shot of the Library:

I worked with some old pamphlets from the special collections of the Gramble Library of Union Theological College this morning. In the afternoon none of the other places I needed to go to were open since it’s a Bank Holiday over here. I wandered around the city center. They were having a continental market in [...]

As I was getting ready to head out this morning I caught part of a morning news show, to my complete surprise a friend of mine the Reverend Tim Jones was being interviewed. He’s leading a protest against Playboy merchandise aimed at children. More Here. Good job, Tim!

I spent the morning reading old histories of the English Dissenting Churches at the University’s Special Collections room. I met with my supervisor for lunch and spent most of the rest of the day reading Minutes of the General Synod of Ulster. I did head downtown to pick up something to read tonight when I wake [...]

Got a good night’s rest last night. After breakfast I headed down Byre’s Road to the Botanic Gardens. Flowers were nice and they have finished Kibble Palace (a greenhouse there) it is beautiful in there: lots of plants, statues and a gold fish pond.
I went to worship at Kelvinside Hillhead Parish Church. [...]

Arrived in Glasgow this morning. Felt surreal to walk in the neighbourhood we lived in. I worked in the library for a while getting all my crucial copying done and then checked into the Alamo Guest House. It’s just across from Kelvingrove park where I used to take my daughter to play and feed ducks [...]
