Day 9: Edinburgh

Finished up my big ‘To Do’ list at the National Archives this afternoon.  I made some good discoveries.  I celebrated with a Haggis Supper at a restaurant across from the Kelvingrove Museum.  I’m heading in early tonight…I’m tired.

Day 8: Belfast

Did my research at the Linen Hall Library this morning.  (I know you’re supposed to do a Pub Crawl in Ireland, I tend to do a Library Hop.)  Afterwards I took a Bus tour, unfortunately my camera batteries died mid-tour.
I did get this shot of the Library:

Day 7: Belfast

I worked with some old pamphlets from the special collections of the Gramble Library of Union Theological College this morning.  In the afternoon none of the other places I needed to go to were open since it’s a Bank Holiday over here.  I wandered around the city center.  They were having a continental market in [...]

Days 5 & 6: Stevenston

I’m in Belfast now having spent a wonderful weekend in Stevenston.  I stayed with my friend Allan and his parents Rev. I spent the morning reviewing old presbytery minutes at [...]

Rant Warning

I went to get a prescription refilled for my son today. I didn’t get it filled because of the Insurance Company — Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Alabama. They have him listed as a her and wouldn’t fill the prescription. (There are further complications but that’s the gist of it.) [...]

Road Trip

We had a nice weekend.  I took this Sunday off and we went down to Tuscaloosa yesterday.
I needed to do some research at the University of Alabama library, so we took Keelyn and Graeme to Moundville after worshiping at the First Presbyterian Church of Tuscaloosa this morning.  We stopped by Natural Bridge on the way [...]
